Emilie Nolan was looking for a happy medium. The marketing manager and former editor wanted pieces that went beyond just cheap and simple or interesting and unaffordable. Out of this frustration, she launched Oremme, her answer to fine jewellery that’s accessible and fun to wear.
With hollow 10-karat and 14-karat gold hoops, solid gold stackers and brightly coloured gemstone (pick from diamond, ruby, sapphire, citrine, topaz and emerald) bands, the first collection is designed to please both minimalist and maximalists. Each one can also be customized, with options like swapping to white gold and adding inscriptions or custom gemstones (black onyx, for example).
All Oremme pieces are made in Canada and Italy using responsibly sourced materials and genuine stones. “There’s no such thing as cheap fine jewellery,” says Nolan. If you think you’ve found some, she says it is either not made from quality materials, or it is and it was sourced irresponsibly.
